Toy Train AppraisalMany people ask me to appraise their toy trains. I get emails constantly asking for toy train appraisals. I used to answer all the toy train appraisal requests. I don't anymore. In five years I have done appraisals on hundreds of toy train sets and never purchased one. Even when I appraised trains I wanted for my collection, once I did the appraisal, the people were gone. They listed their trains on eBay or sold them locally. My time is valuable. Your time is valuable. If you want to know what your trains are worth, I have written a guide to If you don't want to spend the time appraising your own trains, I will still do train appraisals, but you must pay me for my time. If you sell me your toy train within 90 days of the appraisal, I will refund the appraisal fee. This is fair to both of us. My time is valuable, your time is valuable. I charge $20.00 for toy train appraisals. This flat fee covers up to 25 toy train items. Cars, locos, accessories etc… Track is not counted in the 25 items. The toy train appraisal fee covers my time. The appraisal fee is NOT REFUNDABLE unless you sell me your trains. In order to get a toy train appraisal click on the link below to pay $20.00 with paypal. After you have paid the $20 appraisal fee, I will send you a list of questions about your train by email. NOTE: I do not do appraisals on HO, N, and Z gauge trains. HO trains made by Bachmann, Tyco, Lifelike and others are worth LESS than the appraisal fee 95% of the time. If you have Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Ives, or other larger trains, the appraisal fee should be a small percentage of the value. Terry Gibbs PO BOX 842 Mesa, AZ 85211 | |
