Now I know I didn't do it, it was my younger brother.
At the time my Dad was getting older and had problems, he would call me my Brothers name and call my Brother by my name.
So I took the pieces and thanked him.
This is also a Halfner wind up. The motor still works.
I think I have 2 more passenger cars somewhere in my mess to go with these.
The cars survived my Brothers beating, the locomotive not so much.
I might have the cab top for it somewhere too.
These were made starting in 1937, this was part of the M1000 set (came with 4 units) and came in several variations. The engine with port hole in the side is one of the more collectible units.
