814r with a red roof

I just saw on E bay a 253 set with some extra cars.  There is a 814r with a red roof.  It shows wear and only shows metal in the scratches. 

I was not sure if I could show the picture here but it is under 253  and the picture shows a set box.

If anyone looks and knows if this is legitimate, it would be fun to know.

Not legit.  The 814r reefer never came with a red roof.  Could be an orange roof that was changed out from a box car.

That's a repainted gondola.

Lionel made 813 stock, 814 box car and matching 2813,2814 cars in cream and maroon. Maroon is redish.

A repainted roof.   Clueless seller asking 3k for what is more like a 300 dollar set.  The loco has the e stamped on the door which may be scarce, but not 3 grand worth.
