Christmas Layouts

I just set up a little layout on my front porch. That's a genuine Mr. Christmas tree from the mid 1960s. I even have the original box!

The lights and tree were in my step-mother's Goodwill pile.

Trains are just junk from my bins. I'll find a loco when I sort more junk on Friday.

This makes a good screen for the wood I have on my porch. That's the sheets for the standard gauge layout.

 

 

I'll go out tonight when I put the car away and get a night time photo.

Here are some pictures of out Christmas display. That is a 1961 aluminum tree and ornaments are even older.
I hope others will hop on here and post pictures of their Xmas displays.

Mine's under Mike's Layout. I wasn't sure where to put it as it's the same size year round, just redecorated.

Mike you should post other pictures of your Christmas layout here, to hopefully encourage others to do so. I personally would like to see a closer look at your Shonehut station.

Ok, I will. It takes me some time to photograph, download, and resize to fit. My phone doesn't resize and I don't know how Terry gets such big pictures to show up on his posts. He probably cheats...HA! (Just Kidding)

I use a program (app) on my computer called image resizer. The app is available free in the Microsoft store. I take a photo, put it in a file, go to the app, hit open and find the right folder and photo in that folder. There is a slide-bar that takes the photo down by percentage. At the right percentage I hit save and rename it. With my android phone I have to reduce my photos to about 15% to achieve 180 KB or smaller. It becomes easy after doing it a few times. Its a pain, but has to be done or the photo will not post, as you know.

OK, Here's 3 pictures of my Christmas Layout in my train room. After Christmas Santa and the elves and the tree will go away and it will become a winter layout. Jim, I'll take pics later of the Schoenhut / Lionel station and put them in a separate file under COLLECTOR CORNER.

In color your layout looks like it could be the 1920's or 30's. The bottle brush trees are a nice vintage touch.

Hi,
Here are some photos of my Christmas table display. I am hoping that my Kitties will leave it alone.
I also collect model Christmas tree lots, Dept 56 etc and have 4 on my display.

Not a layout, just the trains I put under the tree.
A G scale and a cheap Newbrite I bought in 1992,
Battery operated. Still works.

I will add pictures when I figure out how,

I like the little trains hanging from the tree. I wish I had kept my G scale.
